How to get here

From Helensburgh:

Follow the coast road A814 – through the village of Rhu , heading towards Garelochhead. You will pass Faslane Naval base on your left and at the roundabout – straight on towards Garelochhead.

Once through Garelochhead take a left-hand turn sign posted Rosneath Peninsula, you are now on the B833 from here you are only 6 miles away.

Keep on this road until you see the sign for Rosneath – continue up the hill towards the centre of the village. As the road starts to level out, you will go over a little bridge which has railings to it on the left had side- and once over the bridge you will take your first turning right – by St Modans Church – Easter Garth driveway will be found on your left – just behind the Church.

From Glasgow Airport:

M8 – Follow signs for Greenock M8
At junction 30, branch left onto M898 (signposted Erskine Bridge
Cross Erskine Bridge follow signs for Crainlarich to join A82
A82 – At Dunglass Roundabout take 2nd exit
A82 – Junction with A814 (west) Take right-hand lanes and at traffic signals forward
A82 – Barloan Roundabout (junction with A813) Take second exit
A82 – Stoneymollan Roundabout (junction with A811) Take 2nd exit
A82 – At next roundabout (Junction with B831) Take 2nd exit
A82 – Turn left at junction with A817 (signposted Garelochhead
A817 – Follow road (approx 9 miles) At roundabout turn right (signposted RNAD Coulport)
At next roundabout take 2nd exit (signposted RNAD Coulport)
Continue on this road for about two miles. You will see an ‘Escape Lane’ sign followed by an ‘Accident Black spot’ sign.

Indicate now and turn left immediately after this sign onto a link road between the road you are on and the local Peaton Road.

When you join the local road, turn left down a steep hill.
Turn right onto the B833.Keep on this road until you see the sign for Rosneath – continue up the hill towards the centre of the village

As the road starts to level out, you will go over a little bridge which has railings to it on the left had side-

and once over the bridge you will take your first turning right – by St Modans Church –

Easter Garth driveway will be found on your left – just behind the Church.

From the North:

Pick up the A82 – heading South towards Loch Lomond

A82 SOUTH you will pass Luss on your left – keep on A82

You will join a dual carriage way near Loch Lomond Golf Course and you are now looking for a ,

RIGHT TURN A817 sign posted Garelochhead . Once on the A817 follow to end

At roundabout turn right (signposted RNAD Coulport)
At next roundabout take 2nd exit (signposted RNAD Coulport)
Continue on this road for about two miles. You will see an ‘Escape Lane’ sign followed by an ‘Accident Black spot’ sign.

Easter Garth is only a short drive away from the A817 and from there within 15 minutes leads you to the Shores of Loch Lomond and from there you will have plenty of things to do and places to explore.

The A817 road was voted one of the most scenic roads in Scotland and as it is just a short drive away from Rosneath it opens up many routes for you to explore.
