Covid 19 Policy

At Easter Garth we are trying to keep things as normal as possible for our guests. Our aim is to provide the same quality experience, whilst putting in the appropriate measures to help reduce the risk of our guests or us catching the virus here at Easter Garth.

We have successfully applied for the Good to Go Industry Standard to show that we are following guidelines on cleanliness and social distancing.

Here is an overview of the procedures we’ve put in place. There is more detail below the image if you need it. If you have any questions about the procedures we’ve put in place please do ask.

OUR B&B ROOMS

Our B&B rooms are all located on the first floor of the house. Guests take breakfast in the sun room, on the ground floor through the guest lounge.

We are currently letting only 2 out of our 3 rooms at any one time, unless all 3 rooms are booked by a group travelling together. Where possible, we are also closing rooms for 24 hours prior to a guest stay.

We have always had a high standard of cleaning. We allow about 1.5 hours to changeover a room between guests! We will be following extra procedures such as steam cleaning soft furnishings, replacing mattress, pillow and duvet protectors at each changeover and using sanitising spray on high use touch points, such as TV controls, at each changeover.

To protect both our guests and ourselves, we won’t be doing room tidies for stays of less than than 5 nights. We will leave a box outside you room for any used items such as crockery and towels that you wish replaced, and a checklist for you to fill in if you need more teas, milk etc.

DINING ROOM (Sun room)

The dining room enjoys views across the gardens. We have positioned the tables 2M apart, however, we would prefer to stagger breakfast times for guests.

We ask that guests use the sanitiser provided when they come into the dining room.

The breakfast service will remain the same for guests; the staggered timings will allow us to replace produce between guests

CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT

We will need to collect details of the lead guest who is staying. We will email you a registration form prior to your arrival. Please note that we will comply with GDPR rules when storing and using your data.

When you arrive, please stand back 2M from the door after ringing the bell.

We will email you a payment link for you to pay the balance of your stay (via Stripe – our booking payment system) a few days before your arrival. If you haven’t paid a deposit we will email your payment link prior to arrival.

On departure, please vacate your room by 10.30. We need to leave the room to air for at least an hour after you’ve departed before we can start cleaning. And cleaning is taking longer than usual!

Please leave the key in the bedroom door on departure.

IF YOU DEVELOP COVID-19 SYMPTOMS

Prior to your stay, if you are booked to stay with us and develop COVID19 symptoms or have been asked to self isolate, within 14 days of your stay please let us know as soon as possible and, as per government guidelines, do not travel to us.

If you need to cancel your stay due to COVID19 , we will refund your deposit or we will offer to move your stay to another date before mid December 2020 if you prefer.

If you develop COVID19 symptoms or are told to self isolate whilst you are staying with us, as per government guidelines, we will ask that you let us know and return home immediately. In this case we will refund for the unused nights of your stay, minus any reasonable expenses we have already incurred related to your stay, such as food purchased for evening meals or breakfast.

If you are unable or unwilling to return home, you will be charged in full for extra nights and meals incurred.

If you develop COVID19 symptoms or are told to self isolate within 14 days of staying with us, please email to let us know as soon as possible.

If we need to cancel your booking because we have developed COVID-19 symptoms or have been told to self isolate, we will let you know as soon as possible. We will offer to refund your deposit, or do our best to find another B&B locally for you to stay at if you prefer.

We would like to thank all of our guests in advance for their understanding in these uncertain, changing times.
