Evening Meals

Evening Meals:

Sadly, we no longer offer evening meals at Easter Garth. With the rising costs of food, producing meals on a small scale, means that we are often spending more on ingredients than we feel is a fair price for the meal. So, we have taken the decision that we are unable to offer this service moving forward.

If you are arriving late in the evening and, unlikely to be in time for the local eateries, we are happy to provide a cold platter with a choice of charcuterie, cheeses or smoked salmon, bread, pickles and salad or a hot bowl of homemade soup. We would need at least 24 hours notice to provide this service. Thank you. Please telephone to discuss prices and options with Carolyn for platters.

Please advise us in advance of any dietary requirements or allergies and we will do our best to accommodate.

Eating out:

The Lotus Chinese takeaway, in Rosneath, open every night from 4.30pm – 10pm. We are happy to provide plates and cutlery but request that takeaways are eaten in the dining area and not in guest rooms.

Harvest Moon Deli is a 15-20 minute walk along the loch, in Clynder and is open Friday and Saturday evenings from 5pm – 10.30pm.  It is a welcoming, lovely place to eat and socialise and sometimes has live music too.

Rosneath Castle Park, Castle Isle Bar and Restaurant, is approximately 15 – 20 minutes on foot and offers great value pub classic style meals to eat in or takeaway. Food is served daily from 12-2.15pm and 5pm – 8.15pm.

The Creggans Pub, in Kilcreggan, is a short drive from Rosneath and is a firm favourite with past guests at Easter Garth. As well as a fish and chip shop style menu, there is also a daily specials board offering dishes such as calamari, burgers, mussels and a variety of desserts.

Guests can also access a wealth of restaurants in Helensburgh, 20 minutes by car. There are some lovely places to eat or simply have fish and chips by the sea.

Rosneath has a local Co-op store where snacks and cold food can be sourced.
